history

Kaltenhof was first mentioned in 1487.

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Hüttenbach , which also included the parish village of Bühl , with the second municipal edict . In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , Kaltenhof was incorporated into the municipality of Simmelsdorf together with the municipality of Hüttenbach in 1972. In 2016 Kaltenhof had two residents.
