history

The first mention of Saint Martin took place in 1490. After the Reformation introduced by the Ganerbe in Bühl in 1524/25 , the chapel and the nearby brother house were no longer needed and then fell into disrepair.

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the independent rural community of Oberndorf with the second municipal edict , which also included the village of Unterwindsberg and the hamlet of Oberwindsberg . In the course of the communal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Sankt Martin and the municipality of Oberndorf were incorporated into the municipality of Simmelsdorf in 1978. In 2016, Sankt Martin had two residents.

traffic

The connection to the public road network is established by a municipal road that, coming from the south-west, continues from Freiröttenbach in a north-easterly direction to Unterwindsberg .
