Unteraifermühle is one of 24 districts in the municipality of Simmelsdorf in Middle Franconia .

geography

The hamlet is located in the Naifer valley , about half a kilometer south of Sankt Helena . It is located about four kilometers northeast-north of Simmelsdorf and is at an altitude of 426 m above sea level. NHN .

history

Unteraifermühle was first mentioned in 1503.

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , with the second municipal edict, Unteraifermühle became part of the independent rural community of Großengsee, which also includes the parish village of Sankt Helena, the villages of Strahlfels and Winterstein , the hamlet of Oberachtel , and the deserted Mittelaifermühle and Obernaifermühle belonged.

In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Unteraifermühle was incorporated into the municipality of Simmelsdorf together with the entire municipality of Großengsee in 1972. In 1987 Unterstaifermühle had twelve residents.
