history

Obernaifermühle was first mentioned in 1441.

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Obernaifermühle became part of the independent rural community of Großengsee with the second municipal edict , which also includes the parish of Sankt Helena, the villages of Strahlfels and Winterstein , the hamlet of Oberachtel and the deserted Mittelaifermühle and Unteraifermühle belonged.

In the course of the municipal regional reform in Bavaria carried out in the 1970s , Obernaifermühle was incorporated into the municipality of Simmelsdorf together with the entire municipality of Großengsee in 1972. In 1987 Obernaifermühle had seven residents.
