Strahlfels is one of 24 districts in the municipality of Simmelsdorf in Middle Franconia .

geography

The village is located on a mountain slope on the plateau of the Franconian Alb at an altitude of 521  m above sea level. NHN , seven kilometers northeast-north of Simmelsdorf.

history

The first mention of Strahlfels was in 1256.

By the administrative reforms at the beginning of the 19th century in the Kingdom of Bavaria Unternaifermühle with was second Gemeindeedikt a part of independent rural community Großengsee, which also includes the parish of St. Helena , the village Winterstein , the hamlet of Upper eighth and the wastelands Mittelnaifermühle , Obernaifermühle and Unternaifermühle belonged.

In the course of the municipal territorial reform in Bavaria in the 1970s, Unteraifermühle was incorporated into the municipality of Simmelsdorf together with the entire municipality of Großengsee in 1972. In 2016, Strahlfels had 51 residents.
