Oberschöllenbach is a Franconian village in the northern Albrand region .
geography
The village is one of 17 parts of the municipality Eckental in the northeastern part of Middle Franconia . It is located about three kilometers west of the center of Eckental and is at an altitude of 335 m above sea level. NHN .
history
Due to the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Oberschöllenbach became an independent rural municipality with the second municipal edict. In the course of the communal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , the municipality of Oberschöllenbach was incorporated into the municipality of Eschenau in 1971 and, together with it, became part of the newly formed municipality of Eckental on July 1, 1972. In 2019 Oberschöllenbach had 912 inhabitants.

The connection to the public road network is mainly made by the district road ERH 8 , which comes from the north of Unterschöllenbach through the town and continues south in the direction of Großgeschaidt . In addition, communal roads lead to the two neighboring towns of Röckenhof and Brand .
