Herzsee is a location in the south-eastern low mountain range not far from Innsbruck in Tyrol and belongs to the municipality of Aldrans in the Innsbruck-Land district .

geography

The settlement is located southeast of Innsbruck, above Aldrans on Aldranser Straße  ( L 32 ), on the Herzsee lake of the same name . It is around 810  m above sea level. A. Height at the foot of the Patscherkofel .

The location includes around 20 buildings. To the west across the L 32 is the Hinterrinnweg settlement , with around 20 more houses.

History, culture and infrastructure

The Herzsee is an early modern fish pond that was reactivated at the turn of the last century.

The settlement was built in the 1970s. The Elf House Berger (Hinterrinnweg 15) about was 1975-76, designed by Josef Lackner , built a wooden master-disciple, a characteristic residential buildings of classical modernism.

At the back of the pond is a snack station. There a hiking trail leads through the heart valley to Judenstein . Above in the forest is the Maria im Wald memorial , a group of picture trees.

The tunnel of the Innsbruck railway bypass (future Brenner base tunnel ) runs directly below the village - about 200 meters below ground level .
