Hilde Heim-Buchmann (born June 20, 1950 in Lauterbach ; † March 31, 2010 in Berlin ) was a German filmmaker , freelance television journalist , author , director and presenter .

Life

Heim studied German and media history at the TU Berlin . From 1988 she worked as a television journalist for ARD , Deutsche Welle (international) and ARTE . For these stations she produced 65 documentaries and some magazine articles, including for the daily topics . She made ARD documentaries about Heide Simonis , former Prime Minister of Schleswig-Holstein , Ignatz Bubis , former chairman of the Central Council of Jews in Germany, Ute Ohoven , special ambassador for UNESCO , and the tennis player Michael Stich . She also worked for the ARD series himself in the first program. There she created portraits of Mario Adorf , Hildegard Knef , Harald Juhnke , James Last , Sabine Christiansen , Karin Baal , Isa Countess von Hardenberg and many others.

She was the presenter of the talk show 3 nach 9 ( Radio Bremen ) and the talk show Riverboat on MDR .

Hilde Heim lived with her husband, the artist and filmmaker Dietmar Buchmann, in Berlin.
