Hirschenschlag is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of Waldhausen in the Zwettl district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 13 building areas with 4,575 m² and 5 gardens on 3,797 m² in the cadastral community of Hirschenschlag , in 1989/1990 there were 19 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 40 and in 2009/2010 there were 25 buildings on 43 building areas.

Land use

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 87 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 238 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 73 hectares and 249 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 70 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 249 hectares. The average soil climate in Hirschenschlag is 21 (as of 2010).
