Hohenthann is a district of the municipality of Tuntenhausen in the Upper Bavarian district of Rosenheim . The church village is located northwest of the core town of Tuntenhausen on State Road 2089 . The Moosach flows east of the village .
history
The formerly independent municipality of Hohenthann was completely incorporated into Tuntenhausen in 1978. It consisted of the 18 parts of the municipality Antersberg , Bach , Biberg , Bolkam , Guperding , Höglhaus , Hopfen , Mailing , Nordhof , Oed , Schönau , Sindlhausen , Söhl , Stetten , Thal , Voglried and Weng and had 1170 inhabitants on May 27, 1970.

In the list of architectural monuments in Tuntenhausen , four architectural monuments are listed for Hohenthann :
- The late Gothic Catholic branch church St. Johannes Evangelist is a hall building made of tuff stone with a slightly drawn-in and axially shifted choir . The north tower, which was raised in 1898, has a pointed helmet . The choir from 1480 was redesigned in baroque style in 1624/65 . The cemetery , surrounded by a high enclosure wall , probably dates from the 17th / 18th centuries. Century.
- The farmhouse (Schloßstraße 4) is a two-storey flat saddle roof building with baroque beam heads and elevator beams in the shape of a dragon head . It was built in the 1st half of the 19th century.
- The Einfirsthof (Schloßstraße 7) is a two-and-a-half-storey plastered building with a flat gable roof, segmented arched windows , a house figure and an iron balcony. It was built at the end of the 19th century.
- The former farmhouse (Thaler Weg 13), a two-storey block building with a gabled roof and a flat saddle roof, probably dates from the beginning of the 19th century. It was moved from Neugertsham ( Passau district ) to its current location in 1981 .
