Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit in Universal Studios Florida ( Orlando , Florida , USA ) is a steel roller coaster from the model X-Car Vertical Coaster from the manufacturer Maurer AG , which was opened in August 2009. It is often seen as the counterpart of the B&M Hypercoaster "Hollwood Dream - The Ride", which is (also with on-board sound system) in the Universal Studios Osaka .
journey
The highest roller coaster in the Universal Resort Orlando starts after leaving the station with the 51 meter high lift hill , which transports the train vertically to the highest point of the train. After completing the first drop , the train goes into a non-inverted loop, which describes the shape of a classic loop, but at no point leaves the visitor overhead. This element can still only be found on the Maurer Launched Coaster Shock in Rainbow Magicland , where the exit at the apex - unlike Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit - goes in the same direction as the entrance. One of the block brakes follows, which is necessary for the high capacities. After another descent, the car drives into a helix , which is followed by an over-sloping curve. After another block brake, the train continues towards the station, across the queue with the help of another steep curve, to the last part of the journey and the turn in the form of a horizontal loop, which indicates inversions , but the roller coaster ultimately has none . The lift has a classic "Out & Back" layout and is located in the aisle between Universal Studios and Islands of Adventures and uses the entire length of the park.
Trains
Hollywood Rip, Ride, Rockit has seven trains with two cars each. Six people (three rows of two people) can be seated in each car. The special features include an individual sound system with two loudspeakers each in the headrest and LED lighting on the X-Car car. Shortly after boarding, various pieces of music can be selected and played via a touch screen in the bracket of the X-Seat. These trains are unique for an X-Coaster.

Problems
The first problems arose (after the planned opening in spring) during test runs in June when the lift had to be partially dismantled due to defective carriers on the trains for the chain. Further problems came in August when the banner on the elevator was torn by a storm. In 2010, all Maurer X-Car coasters with multi-unit trains were closed because defective clutches were discovered. In addition, the conveyor belt in the station did not work a long time after it opened, which is another factor in the high capacity of the railway, as the trains in the station do not stop in regular operation.
