history

The Evangelical Church

The oldest known written mention of Wingershausen took place in 1016 under the name Winigereshusen in the Codex Eberhardi on the occasion of a church being founded.

The statistical-topographical-historical description of the Grand Duchy of Hesse reports on Wingershausen in 1830:

"Wingertshausen (L. Bez. Schotten) evangel. Parish village; is located in Vogelsberg, 1 St. von Schotten, has 55 houses and 259 inhabitants, all of whom are Protestant. - The church, which is one of the oldest in the area, belonged to the Blankenau monastery . At the inauguration of the church in Breungeshain, 1067, a Wingereshuoson is mentioned in connection with Crainfeld , which is probably the current one, which later appears under the name Wengirshusen . In the 14th century the chapels of Eschenrod, Kaulstoss and Eichelsachsen were dependent on this church. "

The once independent place was incorporated into the newly founded district of Schotten in 1852 and, after its dissolution in 1938, incorporated into the district of Büdingen . The Protestant church was expanded from 1902 to 1904. The planning was carried out by the architect Ludwig Hofmann from Herborn.

Territorial reform

During the regional reform in Hesse , the municipality of Wingershausen lost its independence on December 31, 1971 and became a district of Schotten.

Territorial history and administration

The following list gives an overview of the territories in which Wingershausen was located and the administrative units to which it was subordinate:

Courts since 1803

In the Landgraviate of Hesse-Darmstadt , the judicial system was reorganized in an executive order of December 9, 1803. The “Hofgericht Gießen” was set up as a court of second instance for the province of Upper Hesse . The jurisdiction of the first instance was carried out by the offices or landlords and thus the Lißberg office was responsible for Wingershausen. The court court was the second instance court for normal civil disputes, and the first instance for civil family law cases and criminal cases. The second instance for the patrimonial courts were the civil law firms. The superior court of appeal in Darmstadt was superordinate .

With the establishment of the Grand Duchy of Hesse in 1806, this function was retained, while the tasks of the first instance 1821–1822 were transferred to the newly created regional and city courts as part of the separation of jurisdiction and administration. Wingershausen a lot in the judicial district of the " Landgericht Schotten ".

On the occasion of the introduction of the Courts Constitution Act with effect from October 1, 1879, as a result of which the previous grand-ducal Hessian regional courts were replaced by local courts at the same location, while the newly created regional courts now functioned as higher courts, the name was changed to "Amtsgericht Schotten" and the district was allocated of the regional court of Giessen .

With effect from July 1, 1968, the local court of Schotten was dissolved and Wingershausen came to the judicial district of the local court of Nidda . On January 1, 2012, the district court of Nidda was also dissolved in accordance with the resolution of the Hessian state parliament and Wingershausen was assigned to the district court of Büdingen . The superordinate instances are now, the regional court Gießen , the higher regional court Frankfurt am Main and the federal court as last instance.
