history

With the Courts Constitution Act of 1877, the organization and names of the courts were standardized across the empire . On October 1, 1879, the Grand Duchy of Hesse therefore repealed the regional courts that had previously been active in the first instance . Functionally, they have been replaced by local courts . The Büdingen District Court replaced the Büdingen Regional Court . The higher courts directly superordinate to the local courts were now called “ regional courts ”. The district court of Büdingen was assigned to the district of the regional court of Giessen .

When it was founded, the district of the Büdingen District Court consisted of the communities Altwiedermus , Aulendiebach , Bindsachsen , Böß-Gesäß , Büches , Büdingen , Burgbracht , Calbach , Diebach am Haag , Dudenrod , Düdelsheim , Eckartshausen , Hain-Gründau , Himbach , Hitzkirchen , Illnhausen , Kefenrod , Lorbach , Michelau , Mittel-Gründau , Orleshausen , Pferdsbach , Rinderbügen , Rohrbach , Vonhausen , Wolf together.

On April 1, 1964, the district of the Büdingen court was expanded to include the municipalities of Altenstadt , Glauberg , Hainchen , Heegheim, Höchst an der Nidder , Langen-Bergheim, Lindheim , Oberau , Rodenbach and Rommelhausen , which were separate from the Ortenberg district court . On the occasion of the abolition of the Ortenberg District Court on July 1, 1968, the other municipalities ( Bellmuth , Bergheim , Bleichenbach , Bobenhausen I , Eckartsborn , Effolderbach , Gedern , Gelnhaar, Hirzenhain , Lißberg , Merkenfritz, Mittel-Seemen , Nieder-Seemen , Ober- Seemen , Ortenberg , Schwickartshausen , Selters , Steinberg , Stockheim, Usenborn , Wenings and Wippenbach ) of his district were assigned to the Büdingen District Court.

After numerous incorporations as a result of the regional reform in Hesse in the 1970s and the associated changes to the district, the Büdingen district court consisted of Altenstadt, Büdingen, Gedern, Glauburg, Hirzenhain, Kefenrod, Limeshain and Ortenberg. The so far last enlargement of the district court of Büdingen took place on January 1st, 2012 as a result of the abolition of the district court of Nidda , which incorporated Echzell, Nidda, Ranstadt and Schotten.
