history

It was first mentioned on September 14, 1173 , when a Richardus de Buches is mentioned among the witnesses of a document. He came from the gentlemen von Büches , who named themselves after the place. The name Büches is probably derived from the Middle High German word “buchehe” or the Old High German “buochahi”, which means for example beech bushes or beech forest . Büches is also referred to as "Buchehes" or "Buchees" in medieval documents.

From 1820, Büches belonged to the Büdingen district , from 1822 to the Büdingen district , from 1848 to the Nidda district and from 1852 to the Büdingen district . Court the village belonged since 1820 for civil magnificent office Budingen, since 1822 the district court of Büdingen and since 1879 the District Court Büdingen .

On December 31, 1971, Büches was incorporated into the city of Büdingen.
