The first seat of the regional court was at Frankfurter Straße 132. The two-storey classical building was built in 1830 outside the city as the customs office of the Grand Duchy of Hesse. When the free city of Frankfurt joined the Zollverein in 1836, this purpose ceased. Around 1850 the Vilbel district court moved into the building that became the district court. It was later acquired by the city of Vilbel, which furnished apartments in it. It has been used as a bank building since 1999. In this context, a renovation took place in which the windows were converted back to their original condition, namely box windows. The building is a historical monument.
