Honda NXR 125

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Honda NXR 125 is an Enduro motorcycle from the Japanese vehicle manufacturer Honda . The light motorcycle is manufactured in Brazil as NXR 125 and sold in Germany under the name XR 125 L from 2003 to 2007. After 1999 the NXR / XR 2003 closes the gap in the Honda model range for the first time, which arose with the end of the Honda XLR 125 R.

The lighting equipment, brakes and engine were modified for the European market. The German model has a disc brake on the front wheel instead of a drum brake and a catalytic converter that meets the Euro 2 emissions standard .

In contrast to the still in Japan -made Honda XLR 125 R (N) XR in Brazil is built. The engine differs from other models through its even simpler technology, such as the camshaft below . Many owners also find the processing quality to be inadequate, and there are increasing complaints about rust . In contrast to the usual enduro tires in 21-inch format at the front and 18-inch rear, the XR is equipped with 19- and 17-inch tires . Many popular profiles are therefore not available.

The XR 125 L has not been offered in Germany since 2008.

Special

The (N) XR is also available in a throttled version with a top speed of 80 km / h for the A1 driving license . A reducer in the manifold reduces the engine power and thus the top speed.
