Previous model Honda CB 1000 Big One

The Honda X11 , and X-ELEVEN , as is a naked bike designed motorcycle by the vehicle manufacturer Honda .

General

Honda offered the X-ELEVEN in Germany in 1999 with manifold injection , immobilizer , catalytic converter , dual brake system, clear glass headlights and an exhaust system made of stainless steel for 18,260 marks. Last year's models cost 19,640 marks and 19,990 marks (EUR 10,290). The official type designation is CB 1100 SFy ED, the factory code was SC 42. It was the undisguised counterpart to the Honda CBR 1100 XX Blackbird , the fastest production motorcycle at the time, which had been on the market since 1996. You could call it the successor to the Honda CB 1000 Big One, which was offered from 1993 to 1995. The last Honda X11 rolled off the assembly line in early 2003.

Its appearance is determined by the radiator cowling, a massive tank, a tangle of stainless steel manifolds and a striking bridge frame.

Driving characteristics

The engine characteristics are designed for high torque. The curb weight is 254 kg. Like many other motorcycles equipped with an injection system, it tends to jolt slightly at constant speed. The braking system has a dual braking system.

Technical specifications

drive

The transversely installed in- line engine is based on that of the fully faired CBR 1100 XX, but with only one balancer shaft. Liquid-cooled four-cylinder engine produced from 1137 cc a nominal power of 100 kW (136 hp) and a maximum torque of 117 Nm at a speed of 7000 min -1 . The four cylinders have a bore of 79 mm in diameter, the pistons have a stroke of 58 mm with a compression ratio of 11: 1. The cylinder head has two overhead camshafts (DOHC) driven by a timing chain, each of which actuates two intake and two exhaust valves.

The motorcycle accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 2.8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 251 km / h.

  • Engine oil fill quantity after change including filter 3.9 liters (SAE 10W40 API SE-SG)
  • Secondary gear ratio 17/43
