ICC Trophy 1990

The ICC Trophy 1990 was the qualifying tournament of the non-test nations for the Cricket World Cup 1992 . The tournament was held in the Netherlands between June 4 and 23, 1990. The winner was Zimbabwe, who beat hosts Netherlands in the final with 47 runs and thus qualified for the World Cup.

A total of 17 associate members of the ICC took part in the tournament:

format

In the preliminary round, the 17 teams were divided into four groups, three with four and one with five teams. The first and second group qualified for the intermediate round. The other teams played a consolation round. In the second round, the four semi-finalists were determined in two groups of four, who then determined the tournament winner and thus qualifiers for the World Cup in the semi-finals and finals.
