ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2010

The ICC World Twenty20 Qualifier 2010 was the qualifying tournament for the ICC World Twenty20 2010 , which was held from February 9th to 13th, 2010 in the United Arab Emirates . In the final, Afghanistan beat Ireland with 8 wickets. Both teams thus qualified for the final tournament.

A total of eight teams took part in the tournament:

Venues

The tournament took place in two stadiums. On the one hand in the Zayed Sports City Stadium in Abu Dhabi , on the other hand in the Dubai Sports City Cricket Stadium in Dubai .

format

In the preliminary round, the teams were divided into two groups, each with four teams. The first two of each group then qualified for the so-called Super Four. This was also played in group mode, whereby the team that was played in the preliminary round was rated as the preliminary round game. The first two then contested the final. A total of 17 games were played.
