IC 1070 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sbc in the constellation Virgo the northern sky and is estimated to be 75 million light-years from the Milky Way center. The galaxies NGC 5774 and NGC 5775 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered on June 3, 1891 by Stéphane Javelle .
