IC 3189 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sc in the constellation Coma Berenices the northern sky , an estimated 682 million light-years from the Milky Way 's center. Together with IC 3185 , it forms an optical pair of galaxies.
The galaxies IC 3169 , IC 3171 , IC 3176 , IC 3194 are located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by Max Wolf on March 23, 1903 .
