IC 3192 is an elliptical dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type E4 in the constellation Virgo on the ecliptic . It is estimated to be 61 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 10,000 light-years in diameter. Under the designation VCC 452 , it is considered a member of the Virgo galaxy cluster .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies NGC 4294 , NGC 4299 , IC 3196 , IC 3209 .
The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on May 7, 1904 .
