IC 4535 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sb in the constellation Bear Guardian in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 408 million light years from the Milky Way and about 45,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered on July 10, 1896 by Stéphane Javelle .
