IC 4532 is a compact galaxy of Hubble type C in the constellation Bootes the northern sky . It is estimated to be 617 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 145,000 ly.
In the same area of ​​the sky are the galaxies NGC 5829 , IC 4526 , IC 4531 , IC 4534 .

The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 25, 1903 .
