IC 4534 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type SB0 in the constellation Bear Guardian in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 224 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 100,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 5829 , IC 4526 , IC 4531 , IC 4532 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 28, 1903 .
