IC 4563 is a lenticular galaxy of the Hubble type S0 / a in the constellation Bear Keeper in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 198 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 45,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky there are u. a. the galaxies NGC 5966 , IC 4557 , IC 4560 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on July 24, 1903 .
