IC 4871 = IC 4872 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble-type SAB (s) d? in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky , which is an estimated 83 million light years away from the Milky Way .

The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart in August 1901 .
