IC 4883 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Telescope in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 196 million light years away from the Milky Way and has a diameter of around 80,000 ly.
In the same area of the sky are the galaxies NGC 6812 , IC 4880 , IC 4881 , IC 4882 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 17, 1901 .
