IC 4899 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sab in the constellation Peacock on southern sky . It is an estimated 178 million light years from the Milky Way and about 50,000 light years across. She is considered a member of the ten galaxies counting NGC 6876 group ( LGG 432 ).
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 21, 1900 .
