IC 4889 = IC 4891 is an elliptical galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type E5 in the constellation Telescope in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 113 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter. Together with IC 4888 it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair.

The object was discovered by Royal Harwood Frost on August 31, 1904 .
