IC 4890 is a bar-spiral galaxy of the Hubble type SBb in the constellation Telescope in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 231 million light years from the Milky Way and about 75,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on October 3, 1901 .
