iCarly is nominated for Best Web Comedy Show at the iWeb Awards in Japan. A few hours later, the iCarly, Spencer and Mrs. Benson team let themselves be flown to Japan on a plane organized by Spencer's friend Socko. Since the pilot only lands in Korea, they have to parachute out of the plane over Tokyo. After they are found, they are taken to a hotel. There they meet their competitors Kyoko and Yuki, who invite the iCarly team to go shopping and send Mrs. Benson and Spencer for a massage. But they just want to sabotage them: They have Mrs. Benson and Spencer locked up and after shopping with Carly, Sam and Freddie they stop in the pampas, where they start an argument. Some time later, Mrs. Benson and Spencer break free. Meanwhile, the iCarly team is alone on the street because Kyoko and Yuki drove away in their car. Meanwhile, Mrs. Benson locates her son Freddie with the help of her tracking device. On the way to him, Spencer loses the tracking device, but he and his mother find him, Carly and Sam. Now they only have five minutes to get to the iWeb Awards and arrive at the studio shortly after the show starts. You don't want to let them in there. You still get into the studio through a ruse, but are caught a short time later. Now they try to use sign language to explain to the Japanese guards what happened to them on the way to Tokyo, what Freddie is filming with his camcorder. Because he plugged it into a plug that affects the large monitor in the studio, the whole audience sees (to the annoyance of Kyoko and Yuki) what Freddie is filming. That seems to be very popular with this one and the show crew. Shortly thereafter, iCarly wins in the Best Web Comedy Show category ; Kyoko and Yuki are arrested. At the end of the film, the iCarly team and Mrs. Benson and Spencer head back to Seattle.

Others
- At the beginning of the film, an Apple laptop is shown, which is also used in the film Merry Christmas, Drake & Josh, produced by Dan Schneider . Based on the Apple company , the logo, which usually consists of an apple motif, was covered with a pear sticker.
- The band Good Charlotte appears in the film. There they make music at the iWeb Awards.
- The film was not shot in Japan and Seattle, where Carly allegedly lives, but in Los Angeles at 6230 Sunset Boulevard.
- It was overlooked that there is left-hand traffic in Japan. Therefore the shown car scenes, especially the taxi, are not correct.
