Beginning (2008-2014)

At the age of 16, the British guitarist Chris William J. left his hometown in 2008 and moved to Hamburg. There he met the drummer Jonas Gabriel Günther, with whom he founded a band . In 2009 the search for a bass player and a singer began, whereupon Adrian Koenig joined a year later in December 2010. So far without a name, the band members decided to call themselves “InFlator” (based on the diving equipment) in the future.

Between 2011 and 2012 the band's music genre developed from progressive metal more towards alternative metal . André Angelo (as André Angelo Augustin), who was often invited by Jonas Gabriel Günther to the band's rehearsals, began using his laptop to incorporate sounds and beats into the band's music , so that he became an integral part of Inflator. Andi met Si in May 2012. (as Andreas Siljuk) as a singer.

In the following years the band took part in various competitions and won all prizes.

Upheavals (2014-2015)

At the end of July 2014, singer Andi Si left. the band for personal reasons, so that the completion of the planned debut album was interrupted. The other band members then looked for a new singer via video on various social media channels and came across Niklas Nuss, who took over the vocals from April 2015.

Inflator played some concerts and festivals in Hamburg and northern Germany in 2014 and 2015 .

Debut album (2015-2016)

In the fall of 2015, Inflator signed with the Timezone music label and went back to the studio to finish the album production. The album "The Conditioning" was released on April 1st, 2016 by Timezone and comprises ten tracks.

UK and Germany tour (2017)

After a lot of positive feedback and some magazine reviews from England , the band planned to make a detour to the UK in early 2017 and then played their first UK tour there in May.

Changes (2017-2018)

In the same year, singer Niklas Nuß decided to leave the band for personal reasons at the beginning of 2018. The appearance in January 2018 at Indra ( Große Freiheit ) was the last that the well-known constellation from the album "The Conditioning" played together.

After ex-singer Niklas Nuss left, Inflator played a few gigs and festivals with a guest singer.

At the beginning of May 2018, founding member Jonas Gabriel Günther announced that he was leaving the band for personal reasons, but played the band's planned performances until the summer .

After being called on various social media platforms, singer Xung Pascal van Nguyen got in touch in December 2018, whom Inflator then took over as a permanent singer after several rehearsals together.
