Ipolyszög is a Hungarian community in the county Balassagyarmat in Nógrád county .
Geographical location
Ipolyszög is located five kilometers southwest of the city of Balassagyarmat , on the Ipoly river , which forms the border with Slovakia . The neighboring Hungarian municipalities are Dejtár and Érsekvadkert . On the other side of the Slovak border are Veáká Čalomija and Koláre.
