Hugyag is a Hungarian community in the county Balassagyarmat in Nógrád county .
Geographical location
Hugyag is a good ten kilometers east of the city of Balassagyarmat , on the Ipoly River , which forms the border with Slovakia . The Hungarian neighboring municipality of Őrhalom is two kilometers to the southwest. Vrbovka and Kováčovce are on the other side of the Slovak border .

Hugyag can only be reached via the side road No. 22104. Main road No. 22 runs south of the village . The community is connected to the railway line from Balassagyarmat to Ipolytarnóc .
