Nógrádkövesd (formerly Kövesd ) is a Hungarian community in the county Balassagyarmat in Nógrád county .
Geographical location
Nógrádkövesd is located in northern Hungary , about halfway between the towns of Balassagyarmat and Aszód , on the Galga River . Neighboring communities are Bercel, Galgaguta, Becske and Szécsénke .

Road No. 2108 runs through Nógrádkövesd, from which road No. 2108, which leads to Szécsénke, and secondary road No. 21157, which leads to the quarry two kilometers to the east, branches off. The community is connected to the railway line from Aszód to Balassagyarmat.
