Irene Kinnegim (born January 8, 1975 in The Hague ) is an endurance athlete, duathlete and triathlete from the Netherlands . She is state champion in the long distance triathlon (2015).

Career

Irene Kinnegim qualified for the first time in 2005 for a starting place at the Ironman Hawaii (Ironman World Championships) and finished 55th in the age group 30-34.

After a baby break, she won the European Duathlon Championships in April 2012 in the 35-39 age group. In 2013 she started again in the elite class (among the professionals) in Horst aan de Maas and finished fourth. In September 2013 Irene Kinnegim came second on the long distance triathlon at the Challenge Almere-Amsterdam .

State champion triathlon long distance 2015

In 2015 she finished second again in Amsterdam with a time of 9:27:27 h and thus won the title of national champion in the long-distance triathlon.

In June 2018, the 43-year-old was able to win the ultramarathon over 148 km with the Helipad Ultra .

Irene Kinnegim lives in The Hague .
