Amy Marsh (* 23. November 1977 in Rochester as Amy Cottrill ) is a former American triathlete and multiple Ironman -Siegerin (2009, 2010 and 2011).

Career

Amy Cottrill was a successful swimmer in her youth; she competed in her first triathlon in 2002 and has been a professional athlete since June 2006.

Ironman 2009 winner

At the Ironman Wisconsin in 2009 she won the long distance for the first time (3.8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and 42.195 km running).

Amy Marsh started for Team TBB . She has lived in Austin since 2001 and is married to triathlete Brandon Marsh .
She was diagnosed with leukemia ( AML ) in December 2014 and immediately sought medical treatment.

She announced that she would start at an Ironman in 2017 and then end her career. Amy Marsh works with her husband as a coach at Team Marsh Coaching .
