Iva Schell
Iva Schell (* 19th April 1978 in Ulm as Iva Mihanović ) is a German-Croatian opera, operetta, musicals and concert singer in the vocal range soprano . She is the widow of Maximilian Schell .
Life and career
Iva Mihanović is one of three children. The father was chief physician for anesthesia and intensive care medicine at the Neu-Ulm Danube Clinic. From 1998 to 2008 she studied singing with Edith Wiens at the Musikhochschule Augsburg and Ilse Hahn at the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden . Mihanović attended master classes with Brigitte Fassbaender , Edith Mathis , Sena Jurinac and Irmgard Boas , from 2011 to 2014 she continued her education with Linda Plech .
In August 2013 she married the 47-year-old actor Maximilian Schell in Preitenegg in Carinthia , with whom she had been in a relationship since 2008. She lives in Preitenegg and Vienna .
Mihanović is the patron of the "Bildungswelt Maximilian Schell" in Wolfsberg and the "Histiozytosehilfe eV" In addition, she has been an ÖKV ambassador for dogs since 2014 on a voluntary basis for animal welfare.

From 2001 to 2006 Iva Mihanović was part of the ensemble of the Ulm Theater , where she sang numerous opera, operetta and musical roles, from 2009 to 2011 she was part of the ensemble of the Leipzig Opera / Musical Comedy again since the 2015/2016 season .

In the oratorio she focuses on Vivaldi , Bach , Handel , Haydn and Mozart , in the song on Schubert , Schumann , Brahms , Wolf ( Italian songbook ), Mahler ( Wunderhorn songs ), Strauss , Dvořák , Debussy and others. Amber .
Concert tours have also taken the singer to Japan, the USA and Canada several times. In 2016 she was the soprano soloist on the great European tour of the Waltz King Andre Rieu as one of the three "Rieu Angels".
