Ivan Alexandrowitsch Kutschin ( Russian Иван Александрович Кучин ; born August 23, 1988 in Magnitogorsk , Russian SFSR ) is a Russian - Kazakh ice hockey player who has been under contract with Barys Astana / Nur-Sultan in the Continental Hockey League since December 2017 .

Career

Ivan Kutschin began his career as a hockey player at HK Metallurg Magnitogorsk , for whose second team he played in the Pervaya League , the third highest Russian division, from 2004 to the end of 2008 . With a short detour to HK Sibir Novosibirsk in the first half of 2008 he came to his first use in the Continental Hockey League . Towards the end of 2008 he moved to Gasowik Tyumen , where he played both in the Vysschaya League and in the second team ( Gasowik-Univer ) in the Pervaya League. In 2009 he joined the HK Rys Podolsk , for which he also played in the Wysschaja Liga. He also came in 2009/10 for Stalnyje Lissy Magnitogorsk in the Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja League , which he was able to win with the team from his hometown. The appearances for Disel Pensa , HK Tschelmet Tscheljabinsk (each in the Vysschaya Hockey League and in the Pervaya League) and Sputnik Nizhny Tagil (in the Pervaya League) in the 2010/11 season were followed by the 2011/12 season at Kristall-Ugra Belojarsky in the Pervaya League.

He then moved to Kazakhstan, where he initially worked for Gornjak Rudny and HK Arlan Kökschetau in the Kazakh ice hockey championship for two years . In 2016 he moved to Barys Nur-Sultan and played his first full season there in the KHL. In 2017 he went to Kökschetau again, but was brought back to the KHL by Barys Nur-Sultan in December of that year. Although he only played partially in Kökschetau in the 2017/18 season, he was the best preparer of the Kazakh championship with 30 assists.

International

Kutschin, who has Russian and Kazakh citizenship, made his debut in the 2016 Olympic qualification for the 2018 Winter Games in Pyeongchang in the Kazakh national team . He participated with her in the 2017 and 2018 World Championships in Division I.
