Jörg Oppermann (born January 10, 1985 ) is a German show jumper .

Jörg Oppermann comes from a family of equestrians and had contact with horses early on in his parents' stable in the Rhineland. He is married to the show jumper Lisa Oppermann (née Eufinger), whose father owns the stallion Che Guevara .

career

Jörg Oppermann initially competed in national tests up to class S ***, followed by several starts at international CSIU25 tournaments at the end of the 2000s . He had his first start in an international Grand Prix outside of U25 competitions in 2009 at the CSI 2 * Ising.

He did his apprenticeship with the show jumper Marcus Wenz. Immediately after Heinz Eufinger's apprenticeship, the offer to work in his stable in Elz . Oppermann also trained with team Olympic champion Lars Nieberg .

Oppermann contested his first Nations Cup in the rider age group in May 2011 in Linz. In a team with Jan Sprehe , David Will and Jürgen Kraus won here, team boss was Dietmar Gugler . As a result, he also took part in his first Nations Cup in the FEI Nations Cup at the CSIO Switzerland in St. Gallen.

At the German championships in 2015, Oppermann with Che Guevara was the only rider to stay clear in the first three laps. In the fourth round of the championship ranking, however, he had a goalkeeper throw, so that the rider had to start again with four penalty points in the jump-off. Another obstacle error here prevented winning the title, Jörg Oppermann won the bronze medal.

Jörg Oppermann was a member of the B2 squad of German show jumpers in 2013. Together with Che Guevara he won 50 advanced level jumping competitions, they won prize money of 600,000 euros.
