Jörg Schemmann
Jörg Schemmann (* 1959 in Hagen , Westphalia) is a German painter and draftsman.
Life
Schemmann studied law in Regensburg from 1983 to 1989. In 1992 he completed his training with the second state examination. He already devoted himself to painting while he was still at school and since 1993 he has mainly worked as a freelance painter. Since then, a comprehensive oeuvre of oil and acrylic paintings on canvas, prints and ink works on paper has emerged. Since 2014 he has been running the “Kunstraum Schemmann” in Regensburg as a studio, showroom and salon. He is also present with works of art in public space. He lives and works in Regensburg and Ribnitz-Damgarten .

In the beginning Schemmann painted a lot in black and white . Later he colored his drawings. Spatiality and unusual perspectives play a major role in his painting. Many motifs are borrowed from nature.
