Jörg See (born April 13, 1967 in Köppern ) is a major general of the Army of the German Armed Forces and the Deputy Assistant Secretary General Defense Policy and Planning Division (DASG DPP) in the NATO International Military Staff in Brussels ( Belgium ).

Military career

Training and first uses

Jörg See joined the German Armed Forces in 1986 as a conscript with Panzerpionierkompanie 130 in Wetzlar and was trained as an officer with Pionierbataillon 5 in Lahnstein from 1988 to 1989 , whereupon he was employed as platoon leader in Panzerpionierkompanie 130 until 1990 . From 1990 to 1994 he studied political science at the University of the Federal Armed Forces in Hamburg and was deployed again from 1994 to 1996 as a platoon leader and then as an S3 officer of the Panzer Pioneer Company 150 in Westerburg in the Westerwald .

From 1996 to 1999 he was company commander of a company in the 320 Pioneer Battalion in Lahnstein, then (1999 to 2000) adjutant to Commander LANDCENT in Heidelberg , a NATO command, and then went into language training, which was followed by the 43rd Army General Staff course at the Command Academy of the Bundeswehr in Hamburg joined.

Service as a staff officer

After completing his general staff training, See was employed in staff assignments, from 2002 to 2003 as a G4 staff officer of Jägerbrigade 37 "Free State of Saxony" in Frankenberg , then from 2003 to 2004 as a G3 staff officer of this same brigade .
