Jörgen Habedank  (born August 25, 1961 in Münster , Westphalia) is a German painter , glass painter and wall designer

Life

Jörgen Habedank was born on August 25, 1961 in Münster , Westphalia. He spent his childhood in Telgte where he also went to school. From 1980 onwards, three years were apprenticeship and traveling years for him. During this time he made his first pedagogical experience. Then he began studying at the State Art Academy in Münster .

He did a second degree from 1985 to 1989 with a diploma in art , art therapy and art education at the Free Art School in Ottersberg . He discovered triptychs for himself. After completing his studies, Habedank worked as an art and craft teacher until 1994. In the meantime he held public art-historical and contemplative lectures on art history as a guest teacher . Until 1995 he also devoted himself to poetry . 1990 opened his first studio . Four years later he announced the independence as a freelance artist and began reinforced with multi-part paintings deal. During a study trip in 1992 with the Trans-Siberian Railway to Ulan Bator and Beijing , “sketchbooks full of people” were created.

From 1997 to 2010 his studio was in the old mill in Appen near Pinneberg . In this he not only began to paint on a small format, but also designed the first glass paintings. He not only designed these freely, but also related to architecture . During this time he made his first orders in public and private space.

From 2001 he started the project "With Childish Competence" which deals with painting from childhood. He also incorporated collage elements into his painting. He is the winner of the Bischof-Tenhumberg-Preis 2002 with the project “Painting becomes a story”. Since 2004 he has been cooperating with the world's leading glass manufacturers from Germany. Today his studio is in an old mill in Tornesch near Hamburg .
