Jade Wilcoxson (born April 17, 1978 in Visalia ) is a former American cyclist .

Jade Wilcoxson, a trained physical therapist , began cycling at the age of 26 after being diagnosed with a predisposition to and a family history of diabetes . Her brother encouraged her to go on bike tours with him; they started with a Century , a 100 mile tour. Her first official race was the Sea Otter Classic in April 2008.

In 2013, Wilcoxson became the national road and cross-country championships runner-up. Also in 2013, she won the US title in the individual pursuit on the track . At the third round of the Track Cycling World Cup in Guadalajara in 2013/14 , she finished second in the team pursuit with the US team ( Jennifer Valente , Cari Higgins , Lauren Tamayo ) . A victory at the Nature Valley Grand Prix failed when she hit the barrier on the last corner and fell.

On March 1, 2014 Wilcoxson was brought down in her first race of the season, the Dutch Omloop Het Nieuwsblad , after 50 kilometers by a competitor who was driving in front of her when she fell and suffered a traumatic brain injury . Six weeks later, she finished fourth on the Chrono Gatineau .

From 2012 to 2014 Jade Wilcoxson drove for the Optum p / b Kelly Benefit Strategies Women team . In 2015 she is no longer listed as a member of the team.
