The county Jangheung ( kor. : 함평군 , Jangheung-gun ) is located in the province of Jeollanam-do in South Korea . The administrative headquarters are in Jangheung-eup City. The district had an area of 617.96 km² and a population of 39,155 inhabitants in 2019.
The district is known for the cultivation of shiitake mushrooms .
