Jindo-gun ( Kor. 진도군 ) is a district in the South Korean province of Jeollanam-do .

The district is named after the main island of Jindo . The district has 230 islands, 45 of which are inhabited. The total population is 41,184, of which 4855 do not live on the main island.

17 km south of Jindo is the famous island of Gwanmaedo ( 관매도 ), which belongs to the Dadohae National Park , which is located in Jindo-gun. Hajodo ( 하조도 ) is the largest island of Jodo-myeon ( 조도면 ), which consists of 154 islands.
