Jimmy Alto has dreamed of becoming an actor for years. He is friends with William, who suffers from a head injury and resulting memory problems. Jimmy is stolen from his car radio and decides to catch the thief himself. During the capture, William films everything and they bring the thief to the police station, gagged. When this came on the news the next day, the two decided to move on.
Reviews
- Roger Ebert praised the “wonderful” beginning of the film in the Chicago Sun-Times . Later the movie got worse. Ebert praised the portrayals by Joe Pesci, Christian Slater and Victoria Abril.
- Desson Howe wrote in the Washington Post that part of the film looked like a "dream factory" version of Falling Down . The character of Jimmy Alto is unbelievable. Victoria Abril is a very promising comedic talent.
