Joe Alexander is a world record holder and coach .

Life

In 1977 he started Taekwondo and completed his training as a chimney sweep . After a three-year stay in America and several television appearances as Joe Al Star, he returned to Germany and devoted himself to various industries. In addition to invitations to television shows and sporting highlights, he presented "Jaacro" at the FIBO (leading international trade fair for fitness, wellness and health) in 1991 , a new sport he had invented with fitness, dance, music and an attitude towards life from Asian and Western cultures merge. He has been working as a coach since 2004.

In the following years various television appearances followed, for example in Wetten, dass ..? , in the ZDF television garden , in the Guinness Show and others. In 2012, 2013 & 2014 Alexander was represented in the Guinness Book of Records with two different world records . On October 16, 2013, the book "Catch the Arrow !: An extreme coach shows how you can achieve the unbelievable. Successful in leisure, sport and career".

Records

Joe Alexander at the Guinness World Records Day 2013 in Hamburg

On November 11, 2010, he and the archers Peter Dubberstein and Robin Puls broke the record with 44 arrows in 2 minutes during Guinness World Records Day 2010 (the previous record was 36).

On September 9th, 2009 at the ZDF TV garden he caught seven harpoons with his hand from a distance of about 2 meters without breathing.

On November 11, 2010, he smashed aerated concrete blocks with his elbow while holding a raw egg. The record is 24 pieces.

On November 16, 2011, blindfolded, he caught four arrows from archer Peter Dubberstein in two minutes.

On November 14, 2012, he caught 15 marshmallows in one minute with chopsticks, which were thrown at him by a thrower from 2 meters away.

On November 14, 2013, he caught 16 darts in one minute, which were thrown to him by a thrower from a distance of 4 meters.

On November 14, 2013 Joe Alexander walked over 60 upright and free-standing, empty champagne bottles. He surpassed the record of circus artist Chelsea McGuffin, which was 51 bottles.

On November 29, 2014 at the B2B Nord trade fair, Joe Alexander threw 14 books upright on a shelf in 2 minutes.

On November 10, 2014 on the RID record day in Hamburg, Joe Alexander cut 25 burning aerated concrete blocks with his elbow while holding a raw egg in his hand.

On April 6, 2015 at the Radio Hamburg Easter Marathon in Hamburg, Joe Alexander conducted 2,947 people in the record "most people buzzing a" lightsaber sound ".

Pineapple Samurai World Record 2015

On November 5, 2015 at the RID record day in Berlin, Joe Alexander cut 12 pineapple fruits horizontally with the samurai sword on the heads of the participants.

On January 4, 2016, Joe Alexander caught 14 arrows from the air.

Fight Director

Joe Alexander is the director of the "Stunt Fighter Academy". Stuntfighting is a rehearsed action-fight choreography in which you fight with or without a weapon. This is used to train stunt actors in the fields of film, television, theater productions, in amusement parks or in advertising. To date, he has worked out and implemented around 800 action and combat choreographies as a fight director. Joe Alexander has been stunt coordinator for the Müritz saga in Waren since 2006 .

This was followed by engagements with Columbia Pictures , Universal Studios , Broadway and Las Vegas shows. In 2002 he was the choreographer and producer of the short film "X-itus" and also directed it. In 2007 the short films "Tears of a Samurai" and "Sharky" followed, which Alexander also directed. In 2012 Joe Alexander worked as a stunt coordinator in the Turkish adventure cinema production Karaoğlan .

Sports

Alexander's sporting career includes the 1981 German champion title (60 kg). In April 2013 he passed the black belt examination for the 4th Dan master degree .

Jaacro was developed by Joe Alexander. Various elements from a wide variety of sporting areas are trained here. The training of the correct relaxation, elements of aerobics as well as self-defense and the execution of dance and fitness basic movements are included. This results in a choreography that is synchronized to suitable music . The aim of training is to train and strengthen the entire body. The general fitness level, the condition but also the mobility can be improved. The fitness trend sport Jaacro was first presented to a specialist audience in 1991 at the FIBO in Essen . It is a word creation by Alexander and should mean something like fusion or union. Magazines like the Stern (magazine) , the Bravo Sport or the Journal der Frau reported on the new sport. Joe Alexander and his “Jaacroians” performed live three times in the ZDF television garden .

Samuel Koch, "Wetten, dass ...?"

Samuel Koch and Joe Alexander have been working together since the beginning of 2010 . The collaboration resulted in various betting ideas for “ Wetten, dass ..? He was also critical of the fact that Samuel Koch had previously interviewed Thomas Gottschalk and Michelle Hunziker and that, contrary to previous decisions, the vehicle was not driven by a professional stunt driver, but by his father, and said on the show people with Wolfgang Heim : "No stuntman in the world would conduct an interview before a dangerous stunt".

social commitment

Since 2011, Joe Alexander has been supporting the “alma terra” association, which uses donations to build happy oases in the form of playgrounds and sports fields in crisis regions. On May 20, 2013, Joe Alexander opened the first "alma terra playground Olympics" in Hamburg as patron.

As the patron of the PWS Child Foundation, Joe Alexander helped children get better drinking water. On November 11th, 2009, he broke his previous record in the “Elbow Break Test with Egg” and initiated the official birth of the PWS Child Foundation. The task of the Child Foundation is to provide children in Germany and around the world with healthy drinking water through a filter system . Alexander gave the first device as a gift to a children's home in Hamburg-Harburg , where he had lived as a child.
