Johann Baptist Lehner

Johann Baptist Lehner (born April 19, 1890 in Litzlohe , today Pilsach , † February 9, 1971 in Regensburg ) was a German Roman Catholic priest , local history researcher and diocesan archivist .

Life

Lehner attended St. Michaels Gymnasium in Metten . After his ordination on June 29, 1914 and a brief activity as an assistant pastor in Altheim and as a chaplain in Neualbenreuth from August 9 to 21, 1914, he was chaplain in Pullenreuth until August 23, 1916 and then until April 5, 1920 in Erbendorf .

Afterwards he was exposition chaplain in Krummennaab , from April 16 to August 21, 1923 provisional parish priest until July 31, 1930. During this period he published the first of his writings on local history.

After that he was cathedral vicar at Regensburg Cathedral until April 18, 1960 and most recently from April 19, 1960 to July 12, 1963, episcopal archive director of the diocesan archive of the diocese of Regensburg .

He was a founding member of the Association for Home Care in Upper Naabgau .
